About
David Carr, as known as ‘Cyril’, is the face of CCBUILD who oversees all the construction work planned.
With David having 15 years building experience in commercial and residential projects, previously working for award winning builders, he decided to take a ‘leap of faith’ to create CCBUILD.
CCBUILD is a family-owned custom building business based on the Eyre Peninsula. We are a progressive, team orientated, transparent and conscious company. Building for the Future’ is our motto which incorporates many interpretations of what this means.
To us, this means being conscious and mindful of people and planet, learning new ways of building that has the least impact on the environment and aims to build with the environment. It means placing people, their family and wellness at utmost importance and walking alongside them throughout the building journey.
As we are a progressive company, we strive to always be life long learners and take the time to investigate contemporary building practices that make us healthier at home and are conscious to the environment. If you have a ‘crazy’ idea or anything that lies at the centre of your values, we are here to listen and make it a reality. Nothing is off limits… oh except an outer space dwelling, but we will leave that up to Elon Musk!

David (Cyril) Carr
DIRECTOR
David grew up on a farm at Koppio on the Lower EP and worked on the land with his father until his life path took a new turn, landing him in the city where he gained work as a labourer for a commercial building company. This change sparked his interest in building, taking him back home to Port Lincoln.
When not on site, David is out on the water enjoying a fish or taking his family (and pup Bella) to secluded beaches to recharge.
David loves a good Thai Green Curry, a lamb yiros or just promite on toast. He is a loyal Geelong Cats supporter and once won the Mitre 10 tipping comp!
David has travelled most of Europe in his time with his brother, spending most of his time in London, working on a construction site as a labourer.
David has a positive 'can do' attitude and is honest, loyal and easy-going. His thoughtful and patient demeanour lets everyone at CCBUILD become part of productive collaboration.
He loves chatting all things building and environment.

Libby Carr
ADMINISTRATION AND MARKETING
At the beginning of this year, Libby decided to leave the classroom after 16 years of professional teaching and change direction, taking on the admin and marketing side of their family-owned business, CCBUILD.
Even though she may not look like a local 🤭 Libby grew up on a farm just out of North Shields on the Lower EP. Married to David (Cyril) for 12 years and blessed with 2 beautiful children, Macey Willow and Buddy Sol, it felt right for her to change direction and become a work partner with David, along with becoming more present for her children.
Libby loves studying and is looking into learning more about interior design and architecture. She could never get sick of eating oysters, camembert cheese or perfectly cooked salmon, while listening to the Barbie movie soundtrack… honestly.
Libby barracks for Collingwood, much to David’s dismay and probably because of having 3 tattoos, hehehe to represent, new life, no regrets and her Korean heritage.
Libby loves all things health and wellness, sustainable architecture, the surf and especially a challenge.
She feels blessed to be part of the CCBUILD team.

Billy Haebich
2ND YEAR APPRENTICE
Billy is a Port Lincoln lad who loves his footy, a surf and knocking up a wall frame.
Billy spent 2 years over in WA, Scarborough, but ended up being drawn back to the EP for obviously the coast and footy community.
His favourite tool to use is a… pencil, he says it’s always reliable and you can’t hurt yourself using it! This is understandable after his worst injury on the job was a sliced pinky finger needing 6 stitches… ouch! He is known to have broken every bone on his left side, so we hope he never evens this up!
Billy will do anything for a Seafood Marinara listening to Drake or will ditch the tools for a bit to travel to Switzerland or to chat about Lebron James.
He is one of them… a Crows supporter… and this could explain the tattoo he has of a camel on his big toe…?? hehehe
Billy’s friendly and positive attitude, along with his motivation to to do well, is a valuable asset to our team.

Harry Haebich
CARPENTER
Even though he has been working up the coast building for the past 7 years, Harry grew up as a local. He enjoys life on the building site, on the footy field and in the surf.
He loves the lifestyle on the EP, especially the beaches and enjoys socialising with friends, however, would someday love to travel to Africa or the USA.
Harry’s favourite tool to use is a nail gun and he has recovered from his worst injury on the job in his first year, which was cutting his face and arm the day before Christmas!
You will find Harry listening to old school hip hop, supporting the Crows or eating pizza or pasta. He will never walk under a ladder at work as he believes he is very superstitious.
Harry is driven to succeed, keen and passionate. He enjoys learning bits of everything, seeing a project from start to finish and wall framing, roof install and 2nd Fix are his favourites.
A huge asset to our Team!
