Our Healthy Hemp Home friends became curious about creating a healthy home for their family and their future. They were drawn to hemp as a natural building material and the more they researched, the more hemp aligned with their family’s values. Hemp being able to contribute to CO2 removal, having insulation properties, providing breathe-ability, etc were just some of the positives hemp is renowned for and from here they took an admirable risk to choose hemp as the hero of their new custom home build. The risk was that no-one on the Eyre Peninsula had previous experience with this building material. The challenge was to explain to those who weren't that interested in this building material has made the journey a little bumpy at times, but their aim from the start was to persist with making a change to their lives as-well as the building industry on the Eyre Peninsula. Even if their idea seemed a little crazy at first they were adamant to continue down this path. They said, "...others may just follow too... it only takes one hey!"
