The choice of building materials are important for protecting your home. Fire resistant building materials such as concrete, brick and gypsum we all know of, just to name a few, but did you know that Hempcrete is a fire retardant building material? A fire retardant slows down, stops the spread of fire or reduces its intensity.

*This fire test documents a hemp block made from the standard AHMC walling mix on a gas flame for 1 hour. You will note that there is no smoke and no point at which there is ignition of flame.
